Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty vehicles have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Cars, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.
Police state they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.
The substance had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.
Officers then found multiple other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.
These symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation outlawing the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.
Police say preliminary tests suggest the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.
"There is still no clue as to its source; authorities are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they commented.
Local authorities stated they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have asked to the public for tips.
A high-ranking representative commented the attack made him stunned and needed to be addressed promptly.
"This event affects the core of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing attack five years ago," he stated on a platform, mentioning the killing of nine victims by a shooter focusing on individuals of migrant background in 2020.
